Business Analyst Needed

Radiant is an experience company focused on original video, podcasts, digital and physical subscriptions, and supporting content. The company believes in constantly prototyping and launching new innovative products that directly solve customer problems. Radiant also fills the innovative digital role of a broader legacy media organization with a major newspaper, NBC-affiliate TV station and many radio stations.

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. You should be: self-motivated, look at problems from unusual angles, comfortable working with people from many disciplines and backgrounds, bias towards making something real versus just talking about it, and motivated by the idea of understanding user interactions on products that will impact the lives of the customers.

On any given day, you might:

  • Write up testing and analytics measurement plans for products with a focus on gathering data that sheds light on the lives of users and the experience itself.
  • Articulate analysis, insights, and conclusions of results across multiple channels, including social, web, mobile, video, podcasts, and subscriptions.
  • Visually map out a user's journey and identify data collection signals with highlights of key pain points and unmet needs.
  • Work with the Marketing Strategy team to develop automated dashboards and presentations that distill learnings, actionable insights, and creative opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the creative, video, and social teams with data informed ideas based on analytics, market research, UX heuristics, etc.
  • Translate data and research discovery into macro insights that ignite creative concept development and idea generation.
  • Consult and advise internal teams to help frame problems and encourage broader and bigger thinking

The ideal person will have the following:

  • Experience working on cross functional teams (ecommerce, prototyping, research, product, and video production teams).
  • A portfolio of case studies and presentations that span A/B testing, measurement plans, site/product optimizations, and creative insights.
  • A proven history of uncovering and translating fresh data insights into impactful digital or physical creative solutions.
  • A deep understanding of web and mobile analytics technologies standards and practices (e.g., Tag Management, Analytics Platforms, Automated Dashboards, User Experience Heuristics etc.).
  • Experience creating compelling presentations and communicating insights to internal and external teams.
  • Technical expertise to complete data analysis and engineering tasks with at least 2 of the following: database management, scripting languages, BI system architecture, front-end dev, data visualization programming, and machine learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a related role
  • Degree in marketing, mathematics, statistics, finance, business, computer sciences, or technical sciences
